Within the last 10 years we have seen a rise in popularity of outdoor entertaining areas. Whether they be domestic alfresco areas or advanced entertaining areas like The Block. More and more people are enjoying the benefits of an Outdoor Kitchen. Outdoor Kitchens can be simple as The Block 2016 did with the BeefEater Built in BBQ SL4000 and a BeefEater 2 Door Bar Fridge. If you would like more you can always add a sink or even a side burner to some outdoor kitchen modules. This gives you the option of a quick wash up after the BBQ or if you would like to do some frying outside the side burner is your partner.

Smoke extraction from your cooking area should also be a factor to consider when planning your Outdoor Kitchen / Alfresco Dining Area. With range hoods it is vitally important you choose an alfresco rangehood. Brands such as Falmec, Schweigen, Gasmate and BeefEater all offer Alfresco Range hoods. These hoods offer baffle filters which trap the grease and prevent clogging. Clogging happens most often in mesh type filters that are common in domestic range hoods when the grease pools up in the mesh and is virtually impossible to clean. Range hood extraction levels are measured in cubic meters per hour. A great alfresco range hood should have above 2000 cubic meters of airflow an hour with external motor mounting options.

Beauty of Outdoor Kitchens is that you can dream and build your ideal setup. If you can’t find an outdoor kitchen that suits you can always buy a built in bbq and get a cabinet maker to design and build for you. Whilst the second option may end up more expensive you will get exactly what you are after.

When The Block came to BBQ’s and Outdoor they came with landscaper Franklin Landscaping. With an idea in mind of the area they were designing coupled with the expertise of the staff at BBQ’s and Outdoor, they were able to come out with a magnificent result. You can too.

Contestants of The Block 2016 and Franklin Landscaping used the following products from BBQ’s and Outdoor on the rooftop terrace. The magnificent BeefEater SL4000 Built in BBQ and they also incorporated BeefEater 190Lt 2 Door Alfresco Bar Fridge which is tested to 43 degrees in the shade for performance alfresco fridge.
