The Comfort white infrared heating panel features Herschel’s innovative Swift Comfort Plus system. Swift Comfort Plus combines our latest technologies to improve efficiency by delivering a higher proportion of infrared heat into the room and a faster warm-up experience. Swift Comfort Plus includes our new high performance, long life German made heating element which heats up to higher temperatures extremely quickly from startup and delivers an optimum spread of heat across the surface of the panel. A combination of high quality, UK made insulation material and a specially treated radiant reflective stainless steel back panel reduces rearward heat loss by over 20%. The result is the best infrared panel currently available. Comfort has been tested to the new IEC 60675 standard for radiant efficiency.
Keeping sustainability at the forefront, the Comfort has been built using high quality materials and designed to last a lifetime. We have also ensured that It is fully repairable. The Comfort is complete with a 10 year warranty and almost all components of the Comfort can be recycled. We use 100% recyclable UK made packaging.

Featuring a one piece central fixing bracket for super easy and secure installation, the Comfort infrared heating panel can be both wall or ceiling mounted. The Comfort panel heater is designed for professional installation only and requires your choice of controller from our iQ thermostat range (sold separately), all of which feature advanced App control. The heated areas are a guide only and assume a medium to well insulated space with an average floor to ceiling height of 2.40M.
An outdoor or patio heater uses infrared (also known as radiant) heat to directly warm people within proximity of the heater. These come as electric infrared / patio heaters, gas heaters or firepits/chimineas.
Gas heaters are highly inefficient as they consume a high amount of gas for the relative heat output and are very bad for the environment due to the high CO2 levels. They are also very inconvenient with heavy gas cannisters or complex installation.
Fire pits / chimineas are a bit better for the environment and can create a nice atmosphere. However, they are usually very smelly and of course need constant attention, supplies of wood etc and are not practical for most urban areas or anything more than occasional use.
Herschel’s patio heaters are the most efficient form of electric outdoor heating. The infrared heat output can be directed exactly where it is required, they are totally silent, maintenance free, have long lifetimes and are the most environmentally friendly form of outdoor heating, especially when powered by a renewable energy source. How do infrared heaters work? Infrared heaters work by converting electricity into radiant heat. Infrared is part of the electromagnetic spectrum. The heat is the same feeling of warmth as the winter sun on your face and the heat from a coal fire. It is even the same form of heat emitted by your own body. It is the most basic form of heating known to man.
Infrared is the direct transfer of heat from the heater to the object (you and the room around you) without heating the air in between. It’s the same heat we feel from an environment warmed by the sun, and the wavelength most efficiently absorbed by the body. It is 100% safe and natural (it’s UV from the sun that is harmful, not infrared).
